Welcome! Many of us are motivated to become vegan, vegetarian, or to reduce our consumption of animal products when we learn about the impact of our food choices. We may be concerned about animal welfare, personal health, the environment/climate, world hunger, and/or workers’ rights. We may want to be happier.
We have the best of intentions, but when it comes down to actually making changes in what we eat, we find ourselves faced with challenges that we hadn’t anticipated and don’t know where to turn. Some of us are concerned that we won’t meet our nutritional needs and that our health will be compromised. Others worry about the expense and/or time involved in preparing plant-based meals. Finding places to eat out and explaining our new way of eating to friends, family, and colleagues can also be daunting. Food is associated with so many aspects of our culture and we may feel that we will be deprived by having to give up our favorite foods.
Does any of this sound familiar? If so, we are here to help!
Our most recent Veg Challenge ran from March 21 - April 11, 2020. You can sign up now for the next one and we will be in touch when it is scheduled.
For 22 days, we will challenge you to try going vegan and provide daily emails with resources, tips, and inspiration. Click here for some tips for new vegans.
